Pink Sugar Cookies Recipe

One of the original and more iconic flavors of the company. Until your typical sugar cookie, this one is soft, buttery and topped with a sweet almond icing. Follow this recipe from Cooking with Karli.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. almond extract
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Icing

  • ½ cup salted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1-3 Tbs. milk
  • Neon pink food coloring, optional

Directions:

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cookies
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract and beat. Then add in the flour and baking powder and mix.

  3. Place the flattened cookies on a baking sheet, about six per pan. Bake for nine to 11 minutes, or until the centers have puffed up. Let the cookies cool on the sheet.
  4. For the frosting, cream the butter until smooth. Slowly add in the powdered sugar, almond extract and milk until smooth and creamy. Then, add four drops of neon pink food coloring, if desired.
  5. Spread the frosting on slightly warm cookies, then let cool. Chill the cookies the fridge until ready to serve.
