WW Reader Julia Golden Was Looking for Hope and Found It in a Balloon Sent From Heaven

Just when she thought all hope was lost following the loss of her daughter, Julia Golden received what she asked for: a sign from God that she was with Him.

Woman’s World reader Julia Golden asked God for a sign that her daughter was with Him, and He answered in an unmistakable way. She writes:

My daughter, Derie, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the age of 33. She had a brain aneurysm, and if our local hospital had found it in time, she could have been saved.

Derie came by my house on the Sunday night prior. That was the last time I saw her alive. She gave me the biggest hug and said, “I love you, Mama.” She went to the hospital the next night with what she thought was a migraine and extremely high blood pressure, but they sent her home.

She collapsed about an hour after she returned home. The surgeon said that if the local hospital had sent her to him, he could have saved her. He did attempt to do surgery, but it was too late.

Derie left behind a 12-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter. She was such a smart and beautiful person. She always had a beautiful smile. Her son is now an attorney, and I can’t imagine how proud she would be if she could see all his accomplishments.

I struggled after Derie passed and debated about whether or not she was in Heaven. I went to her grave on her birthday, August 3rd, in 2015 by myself. I just needed time to talk to her and God by myself.

I took three balloons and released them. As I released the balloons, I asked God to please send me a balloon if she was with Him. I stood and watched as my balloons flew out of sight. I then returned home, but I did not tell my husband or anyone of what I had asked God to do.

The next morning, I went out our front door and, in our driveway, saw what I thought was a ball. I was thinking that it must belong to our neighbor’s grandson. But as I got near it, I realized it was a balloon—a white balloon. I did not release a white balloon. I had goose bumps…or should I say “God bumps.” I have had peace ever since. I cannot express how happy my heart was and is. All I can say is, “Thank You, God!”

“Julia’s experience is a profound testament to the comforting signs our loved ones can send from beyond,” says Sunny Dawn Johnson, a global authority on the angelic realm, with a portfolio of 22 books, including popular titles such as Invoking the Archangels, The Love Never Ends, and 365 Days of Angel Prayers. After her daughter Derie’s untimely passing, Julia sought a specific sign — a balloon — from God to confirm that Derie was at peace. Julia was astonished to find a white balloon in her driveway the next morning. This clear response from the divine brought her immense peace and reassurance. Such moments remind us that our loved ones and guardian angels remain close, sending us messages of comfort and love in our times of need.”
