She is beauty, she is grace. Princess Kate has long been known for her polished, classic style, which tends to be full of A-line dresses, gorgeous hats and colorful pant suits. She also is beloved for her natural and simple, yet elegant and sophisticated hair and makeup — it’s even been said that she’s done her own makeup herself on many occasions. Here, we break down exactly how to achieve the Kate Middleton makeup look if you want to recreate it yourself — and feel like a real-life princess!

Again, Kate likes to keep it pretty simple when it comes to her makeup. Think a natural base — light foundation and concealer, with some contour and rosy cheeks — with a slightly smokey eye. The more dramatic eye look she wears works because of how simple she keeps her face makeup. She also likes a bit of a bolder brow with a pinky lip.

How to do Kate Middleton’s makeup Kate Middleton looked stunning at the coronation. Her makeup look is natural, healthy, and effortless. I started her look with a good moisturizer, and for even skintone I used a tinted moisturizer instead of foundation for a light, hydrated look. I then used taupe shadows, lots of blush, and finished with a natural pink lip. Follow for more!🤩 #katemiddleton #makeuptutorial #makeup #tiktok #makeupartist

The steps it takes to get Kate Middleton’s makeup look

  1. After priming face, apply a medium coverage foundation with a natural finish all over skin with a foundation brush.
  2. Apply a concealer in a slightly lighter shade than the foundation to the undereye area and on any blemishes, then lightly set with a setting powder.
  3. As Lyn explained in her TikTok above, Kate doesn’t do feathery brows, but she does fill them in to make them look nice and full. Use a brow pencil to fill in any sparse spots, and create an arch on the brow.
  4. Line slightly below the cheekbones, along the temples and top of forehead and the jawline with a cool-toned cream contour stick. Kate doesn’t usually do a bronzed look, but she does like contour to carve out features. This is why it’s important to choose a cool-toned shade rather than warm-toned, as a warm contour will just make skin look bronzed, not defined or sculpted.
  5. Kate never goes without a rosy pink blush on her cheeks. Use a blush brush and a luminous pink blush and apply on the apples of the cheeks, then blend slightly upward.
  6. For the eyeshadow, start with a light, shimmery shadow all over the lid and up toward the brow bone. Then, use a dark brown shade on the outer corner, then blending into the crease. Next, use a blending eyeshadow brush to create a slight wing with the crease shadow, and then use an angled eyeshadow brush to lightly line the lower lash line with a mix of a dark brown shadow and rust shadow. Lastly, apply false lashes or mascara to further define eyes.
  7. Finish off the look with a sweep of a pink lip gloss, and then mist entire face with setting spray,

This concealer pen is also rumored to be one of Kate Middleton’s go-tos. The pen applicator makes it super easy to apply and very precise. And the concealer’s luminous finish makes undereyes look bright and awake. Plus, it does a great job at covering up any blemishes too.

Unfortunately, the eyeshadow palette Kate Middleton supposedly used — the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette — is no longer available, but thankfully, the brand still has very similar variations of the palette. As you can see, neutral shadows are what Kate loves to wear and they work on all skin tones and flatter all eye colors as well.

We know Kate is a fan of the Bobbi Brown brand, so it’s not too far-fetched to think she may dabble in their blushes. This pink shade is very close to the hue on she’s usually wearing on her cheeks in photos. Best of all, the cream formula is hydrating and won’t seep into fine lines.

You can’t forget the brows! While you can use whatever brow pencil you prefer — we like this duo by Pixi that not only has a pencil, but also gel to set brow hair in place. Just make sure to give brows a full, thick appearance like Kate’s.
