Cherry Bourbon Iced Tea Recipe Is the Perfect Cooling Refresher for Summer Evenings

During the summer months my grandmother always kept a jug of lemony iced tea in the fridge. It was her beverage of choice for hot afternoons or sipping on the porch on warm evenings (somehow the caffeine never kept her up!). Whenever I brew a batch, I think of her. But sometimes I crave a refreshing sip with an adults-only kick. That’s what inspired this Cherry Bourbon Iced Tea recipe.

Our recipe is a mashup of a Manhattan cocktail and fruity tea. In keeping with the iconic drink, we make a quick syrup with a secret ingredient — maraschino cherry juice! Then instead of the usual black tea, we use dark cherry flavored. Thanks to this herbal variety, you can indulge anytime and still fall sleep! Prefer a mocktail? Simply omit the bourbon and stir in a dash of non-alcoholic vanilla extract or brown sugar. Either way, give it a try and send us a comment.
