Refreshing and Easy Berry Tea Sangria Recipe Will Be Your Go-To Drink
A splash of brandy adds an extra kick to this pitcher drink, but you can sub in apple juice if you prefer
It doesn’t matter if I’m going out to brunch or attending a family picnic, I love having something sweet to sip on. And there’s no better option than a summery sangria. That’s why our Berry Tea Sangria recipe is a definite must-add to your summer cocktail list. Not only does it prep in just 10 minutes, this beverage has a fruity caffeine twist that is sure to kickstart good times.
We bring our drink together with pomegranate raspberry green tea, white wine and a generous helping of fresh fruits including oranges, apples and blueberries. However, if you want to make it a little more fun, you can add in a splash of brandy. Not a brandy lover either? Try a bit of apple juice to bring out a more vibrant flavor. Ingredients
- 6 pomegranate raspberry tea bags
- ⅓ cup superfine sugar
- 1 orange, quartered, sliced
- 1 apple, cored, quartered, sliced
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 (750 ml.) btle. white wine
- ½ cup brandy
- 1 lime, quartered, sliced
- Ice cubes
- 1 (12 oz.) can lemon seltzer
- Mint sprigs (optional)
Instructions
• In pot, bring 2 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags. Let steep 10 min. Discard bags. Stir in sugar until dissolved; let cool.
• In large pitcher, combine orange, apple and blueberries. Stir in wine, tea and brandy. Cover; chill at least 4 hrs.
• When ready to serve, add lime. Divide wine mixture among ice-filled glasses. Top with seltzer. If desired, garnish with mint sprigs.
